Fourth of July- Liberty 2010
Keeping in line with Fathers day and the Fourth of July is easier than most might think. The Father that founded this country is the same that established Disciples. Though there was abuses at the time of the founding of the USA. Much of what we consider Abuse now would not be considered abuse then. Jesus did teach to release and cease to abuse servants. And his disciples taught that too. But it was recognized that there was groups of people that would work strictly for room and board as slaves did during the Colonial days. However the rights often did not just stop being taken at that point. So we faced not one, not two, not just three Revolutions but four Revolutions. Jesus' coming was the first. The Revolutionary war and the beginnings of the establishments of the Democratic elected Republics elsewhere in the world was the second.(1700's) And the 1960's saw the third.
Much as our Founding Fathers people has discrepancies, so did Israel when it began. Joseph was the one that turned out the most successful and he had the hardest time for a while.
“Before we go into the scripture, let's see what family Joseph came from. Things were set up for him. Just like when you were born, you didn't get to choose your mom and dad; they were there for you. Things were set up for you. But peace and love were not ready at Jacob's house like you would expect from the man of God. From the beginning, when he got married (you know the story; we're not going into every detail), but he thought he married Rachel, but he found out when he woke up in the morning that they gave him the ugly sister. That was a disappointment. So now he had to work seven more years to get the one he loved. You see that from the beginning, there was a quarrel in that household, because he had two wives. Then, because Rachel had no children, she said "Take my servant and give me children by her." Now he had three wives. These are half-brothers and half-sisters. Then Leah said, "Take my servant also," and he had four wives. In a house of brothers and sisters with the same mother and father, things are hard enough. Now to make matters worse, Rachel prayed again and God decided to bless her with one child. This was the child of his love, and you can't begin to imagine how Joseph spoiled that kid. So Joseph had ten half-brothers (which are also half-brothers to each other), and one half-sister. It is a miracle for Joseph to come out as he did, because this wasn't a house that had peace in it.
And when his brethren saw that their father loved him more than all his brethren, they hated him, and could not speak peaceably unto him. And Joseph dreamed a dream, and he told it his brethren: and they hated him yet the more. And he said unto them, Hear, I pray you, this dream which I have dreamed: For, behold, we were binding sheaves in the field, and, lo, my sheaf arose, and also stood upright; and, behold, your sheaves stood round about, and made obeisance to my sheaf. And his brethren said to him, Shalt thou indeed reign over us? or shalt thou indeed have dominion over us? And they hated him yet the more for his dreams, and for his words. And he dreamed yet another dream, and told it his brethren, and said, Behold, I have dreamed a dream more; and, behold, the sun and the moon and the eleven stars made obeisance to me. And he told it to his father, and to his brethren: and his father rebuked him, and said unto him, What is this dream that thou hast dreamed? Shall I and thy mother and thy brethren indeed come to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?”

Next off we must consider how serious Jesus was about his instructions John the Baptist introduced Jesus.
Joh 1:31 And I knew him not: but that he should be made manifest to Israel, therefore am I come baptizing with water. Joh 1:32 And John bare record, saying, I saw the Spirit descending from heaven like a dove, and it abode upon him. Joh 1:33 And I knew him not: but he that sent me to baptize with water, the same said unto me, Upon whom thou shalt see the Spirit descending, and remaining on him, the same is he which baptizeth with the Holy Ghost. Joh 1:34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.
Ge 9:24 ¶ And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. Ge 9:25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. Ge 9:26 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. Ge 9:27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant.
Canaan lived in the Land God gives to the Israelites.
Here is examples of whats expected of a man that works for a living Particularly living in Canaan land:
Ge 14:14 And when Abram heard that his brother was taken captive, he armed his trained servants, born in his own house, three hundred and eighteen, and pursued them unto Dan.
Job 4:17 Shall mortal man be more just than God? shall a man be more pure than his maker? Job 4:18 Behold, he put no trust in his servants; and his angels he charged with folly: Job 4:19 How much less in them that dwell in houses of clay, whose foundation is in the dust, which are crushed before the moth?
Mt 21:33 ¶ Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country: Mt 21:34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. Mt 21:35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. Mt 21:36 Again, he sent other servants more than the first: and they did unto them likewise. Mt 21:37 But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son. Mt 21:38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. Mt 21:39 And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him. Mt 21:40 When the lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto those husbandmen? Mt 21:41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons. Mt 21:42 Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? Mt 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. Mt 21:44 And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder. Mt 21:45 And when the chief priests and Pharisees had heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them. Mt 21:46 But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet.
Joh 13:12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you? Joh 13:13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am. Joh 13:14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. Joh 13:15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Joh 13:16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
Jesus Changed all the rules. The Roman Empire was not destroyed however. It was synthesized.
The leaders were eventually converted until the year 324 when the council of the Church rebelled and changed their teachings to mach those of the pagan Religions around the Empire. As a result of all the given information it is still safe to Say God has still not deserted his planet nor has he deserted his flock.
There have been persecutions -the so called Dark Ages- when the invaders from the Northern portions of Ukraine and Asia came in and the times the Catholic Church tried to shut down civilization and communication. But the Church of God stayed firm. Even though it went under the radar screen. Recently we have accomplished much.
Thats what looking at Fathers day and the Fourth of July amounts to.
