Ethics I Memorial Day A

The next Subject we cross paths with this year 2009 is Memorial Day. A Key element to our honoring Heros of our Country and the ultimate Sacrifice they have made in an effort the further the cause of Liberty and Justice for all in this world.

John 15:13 1. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. John 15:14 1. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

Christ was obviosly- deadly serious. So are the people we honor this Memorial Day. There has been questions in the past as to what these people claim as justice, and what is liberty. Though there are sliight variations in the exact definitions in everyones mind. Accurate Thought and Applied Faith suggest the we examine the fountains head on this matter. About Jesus our Fore Fathers Thought along these lines:

“3. The precepts of philosophy, and of the Hebrew code, laid hold of actions only. He pushed his scrutinies into the heart of man; erected his tribunal in the region of his thoughts, and purified the waters at the fountain head.” Thomas Jefferson. Bible Syllabus. http://www.angelfire.com/co/JeffersonBible/jeffbsyl.html

Revelation 22:1 1. And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Revelation 22:17 1. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

Matthew 5:20 1. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 23:1-3 1. Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, 2. Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat: 3. All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not.

Matthew 5:20 1. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 20:13 1. But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?

Now Jesus was blasting construction stones out of bedrock here. So we need to simplify our cuts to prevent getting off course. Doubt is not the result of Purity of: Liberty and the Sacrifice people have made for this country. [At least its not the result in the minds of those for whom they have died -or offered their lives for]. Doubt is an emotion people face every day. If anything Doubt goes deeply into the minds of them who have killed in an effort to Eliminate Gods Liberty. And have failed to Eliminate Gods Liberty.

“Doubters could not keep Jesus In in the grave. Doubters were there. He was doubted by his own countrymen and his own disciples. One denied him; one betrayed him, and the rest were thinking of themselves.” [Pastor Thomas. Sunday Morning Service, 4/12/09. Message: An Easter Attitude.]

True Freedom is only found on hallowed Ground [Bruce Wilson. True Freedom Song. 1990.]

And to sum up the idea That Christ got across the table, We should Define the results of that Liberty as not lust of or for flesh. Liberty is the result of Fruit of the Spirit:

visualize: Galatians 5:1 1. Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. Galatians 5:19-26 1. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 2. Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 3. Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 4. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 5. Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 6. And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 7. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 8. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

“In the Great Commission, what did Jesus tell us to do?

Matthew 28:19 1. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

What does the next verse say?

Matthew 28:20 1. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

So that’s what the disciples were taught to do: “Teach them what I’ve taught you.” Now let’s look in the book of Acts. …”

Rod Williams. The Early Church. Part 3 of 3. Date: April 15, 2009.

Acts 2:38 1. Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Christ is indeed the Greatest Hero for The USA and many others. He Defines the meaning of the word Greatest Sacrifice. Baptism in all these writings means submersing in water. The next thing requires action from the reader. Each of us who read this can and should take action on this if we have not done so already. If action has been taken: Then don’t stop.
