Ethics L Respector of Persons Compared to powers That Be and the Purpose of Guns
Rom 2:10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
Rom 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
The Powers that be are currently struggling over the following issues: Abstinence, Guns, and What “Love” means. We are going to deal a lot of scrptures out and here is why: we are staying in context.
Rom 3:4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
So here we go:
1Cr 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
1Cr 6:13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body [is] not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body,
Power Struggles are a bad factor in life, and Guns as well as Writings can influence either in a destructive way or in a Good way. Guns can be “ Handgun Safe Certification Study Guide where they state rule 6.” Store your gun safely and securely to prevent unauthorized use. Guns and ammunition should be stored separately.” to show that both sides in a power struggle trust each other. Writings can be used to encourage and share ideas that help both sides come to a decent agreement. Both of these types of actions show Love. One Way Napoleon Hill talks about Love is:
“Love, the true emancipator of Mankind! Love makes all mankind akin! It clears out selfishness, greed, jealousy and envy, and makes right royal kings of the humblest of men. True greatness will never be found where love does not abide. The love of which I speak must not be confused with the emotions of sex, for love in its purest Expression is a combination of the eternal triangle, -yet it is greater than any one of its three component parts-.
The Love to which i refer is ‘elan vital’ - the life giving factor- the spring of action- of all the creative indeavers which have lifted mankind to his present state of refinement and culture.
It is draws a clear line of demarcation between man and all of the creatures of the earth below him. It is the one factor which determines for every man the amount of space he shall occupy in the hearts of his fellowmen.
Love is the solid foundation upon which the first of the Twelve Riches may be builded, a -positive mental attitude-, and let us take heed that no man may ever become truly rich without it.”
Napoleon Hill. The Master-Key to Riches. Random House Publishing Group. 1965. www.ballantinebooks.com pp 67-68.
Once we have established Love as our Definite Major Purpose it will help how to know the most common way people achieve such. Putting it in simple terms so we will be able to judge what things help and what things don’t help.
Napoleon Hill summed it up for us: “If you have your heart fixed on what you want there’s nothing I can do to stop you from getting it...
First premise: The Starting point of all individual achievement is the adoption of a definite purpose and a definite plan for its attainment.
Second Premise: All achievement is the result of a motive or combination of motives, of which there are nine basic motives which govern all voluntary actions ( These Motives are Described in Chapter one [Of the source book of this quote].)
Third Premise: Any dominating idea, plan or purpose held in mind, through repetition of though, and emotionalized with a burning desire for its realization, is taken over by the subconscious section of the mind and acted upon, and it is thus carried through to its logical climax by whatever natural means may be available.
Fourth Premise: Any domination desire, plan or purpose held in the conscious mind and backed by absolute faith in its realization, is taken over and acted upon immediately by the subconscious section of the mind and there is no known record of this kind of a desire having ever been without fulfillment.”
Fifth Premise: The Power of thought is the only thing over which any person has complete, unquestionable control- a fact so astounding that it connotes a close relationship between the mind of man and the Universal Mind of Infinite Intelligence, the connecting link between the two being faith.
Sixth Premise:
The subconscious portion of the mind is the doorway to Infinite Intelligence, and it responds to one’s demands in exact proportion to the quality of ones Faith! The Subconscious mind may be reached through faith! the subconscious mind may be reached through faith and given instructions as though it were a person or a complete entity unto itself.
Seventh Premise: A Definite purpose, backed by absolute Faith, is a form of wisdom, and wisdom in action produces positive results.
Napoleon Hill. The Master-Key to Riches. Random House Publishing Group. 1965. www.ballantinebooks.com . pp 38-39.
After you have begun using the above set of Premises: It will be easy to see how to Judge what is Right and what is Wrong in the Eyes of God. There is an 8th Premise the Christian accepts. Infinite Intelligence is an Activity or Manifestation of the Spirit of Jesus.
Jhn 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father?
Gen 41:38 And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find [such a one] as this [is], a man in whom the Spirit of God [is]?
Jhn 4:24 God [is] a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.
The Angel that Gave us the name of Jesus to us did so with clear purpose: Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Mat 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
There are more verses on this subject that Give the Spirit the Name of Jesus. So it goes without saying much farther that the Christian has a mandate:
Eph 5:20 Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;
Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
It is now of essence that we understand How the Great Spirit will treat the World in the last and permanent day for them who have done what Gods asked of them. The idea is understanding what is Good and what is Bad in Gods eyes. Especially Since we have just looked at a set of general Rules God must be following to decide who will be included his own Definite Major Purpose. (We know this Because Napoleon Hill took the Bible and hundreds of successful peoples life stories and found the above to be the most common in all their lives.
Now how to analyze what not to do and/or what God will predominently prevent from happening if you are in his will.
So first, what do Seasoned Christians not do?
First the Ten Commandments.
And God spake all these words, saying,
Exd 20:2 I [am] the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
Exd 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Exd 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness [of any thing] that [is] in heaven above, or that [is] in the earth beneath, or that [is] in the water under the earth:
Exd 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me;
Exd 20:6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
Exd 20:7 Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
Exd 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Exd 20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
Exd 20:10 But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates:
Exd 20:11 For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
(A side note this commandment is one to do.) Exd 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
Exd 20:13 Thou shalt not kill.
Exd 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Exd 20:15 Thou shalt not steal.
Exd 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
Exd 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that [is] thy neighbour's.
Now the works of the Flesh, or the results of disobedience in most cases.
Gal 5:19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
Gal 5:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
Gal 5:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
Though we struggle to be Perfect, and know we are not perfect. The above Works of the flesh will be manifest loudly in the life of any one who Goes against Gods will, OR God is allowing Satan to tempt.
There are dozens of examples but here is just two examples of what will happen in the life of the obedient.
Job First:
Job 1:6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.
Job 1:7 And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
Job 1:8 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that [there is] none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? ... Job 2:6 And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, he [is] in thine hand; but save his life.
Job 2:7 So went Satan forth from the presence of the LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot unto his crown.
Job 2:8 And he took him a potsherd to scrape himself withal; and he sat down among the ashes.
Job 2:9 Then said his wife unto him, Dost thou still retain thine integrity? curse God, and die.
Job 2:10 But he said unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.
Job 3:25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.
In the Story we see how Job had lost all his children and all his belonging and was struck with boils. In the Story His friends think:
Job 34:5 For Job hath said, I am righteous: and God hath taken away my judgment.
But What Job was actually trying to say to to God was:
Job 42:2 I know that thou canst do every [thing], and [that] no thought can be withholden from thee.
Job 42:3 Who [is] he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.
Job 42:4 Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.
Job 42:5 I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.
Job 42:6 Wherefore I abhor [myself], and repent in dust and ashes.
God Saw Jobs verbal discretion, already knew his heart and then:
Job 42:10 And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.
Job 42:11 Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold.
Job 42:12 So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.
Job 42:13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.
Job 42:14 And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch.
Job 42:15 And in all the land were no women found [so] fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren.
Job 42:16 After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, [even] four generations.
Job 42:17
So Job died, [being] old and full of days.
What was more evident in Jobs Life, in the life of almost all trying hard Christians and what is our second example at the same time is:
Gal 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Gal 5:24 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
Gal 5:25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Gal 5:26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.
There is only one type of person who is the exception to this rule. God acknowledges the person who though their whole life is a shambles: will not reply against him even on that persons final instant in this life.
Visualize: Rom 9:18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will [have mercy], and whom he will he hardeneth.
Rom 9:19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?
Rom 9:20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed [it], Why hast thou made me thus?
Rom 9:21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
Rom 9:22 [What] if God, willing to shew [his] wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
Rom 9:23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
Rom 9:24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
Now we will need to finalize our “rightly dividing the word of truth:” (2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.)
Rev 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is.
Rev 19:20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet [are], and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. Rev 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Rev 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
To Summarize:
Phl 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Phl 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Phl 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Phl 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Phl 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
Jhn 7:22 Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man.
Jhn 7:23 If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day?
Jhn 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
Act 3:5 And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
Act 3:6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
Act 3:7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted [him] up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
Act 3:8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Act 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, [even] as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Act 2:40
And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation.
Phl 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth;
As we can see every individual thing in our life has to either go away or stay. On the subject of “getting rid of Guns”: ‘So, in pass to quote the Larry the Cable Guy from the movie (1) Git-R-Done, “If guns kill people then I can blame misspelled words on my pencil.” (Nathaniel Conner. Bulls-eye. 2009. pp5) ’ The only true Power over the evils in our lives is “Applied Faith” (Napoleon Hill. The Master Key to Riches. pp 114-140 www.naphill.org) in Jesus name.
