In Approaching Israel

1. Note about the Baptisms in Jordan Pastor Paine read where Jesus was Baptized

"Mr 1:9 ¶ And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. Mr 1:10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: Mr 1:11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Jesus after returning to the disciples giving what is commonly referred to as the great commission. We have account of it in each of the gospels but I’ll read from Matthew 28

Mt 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Mt 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

And then read Acts 2:

Ac 2:37 ¶ Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? Ac 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Ac 2:39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. Ac 2:40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. Ac 2:41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls."

Next we went to the Jordan River, just before its southern outlet into the Dead Sea, And quoted: "'Buried with him in baptism and to walk in newness of life' and while we are not buried we are buried with him in baptism raised to walk in the newness of life the Bible talks of a new creature Baptism is not just a ritual cleansing its more than that its an act of obedience. Its not a work. an act of obedience to God for we hear Peter said every one of you for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.'"

Pastor Thomas was later saying “the Bible saying do all you do in word or in deed in the name of Jesus so we baptized like that because it’s the very first thing Peter said to do in the name of Jesus it’s the very first thing we do so we can stand before him in heaven so when we get Baptized we get it in the name above every name because its only bit it whereby we must be saved. So it’s a great honor to be here today. so what we are doing here those that have not done it already, we are doing it for salvation. We’re doing it in the name Jesus said do it in we’re doing it because we want to be engrafted into Israel. And those that have been baptized we are doing it to express our love and our faith, not for salvation but for a renewal of our faith in this holy land in this holy water."

2. Note about all the agriculture There or forests of all kinds. From acres and acres of Fruit trees, Olive trees and Cyprus trees, to acres of Date Palms to Acres of brush and cactus, to fields of brushes of flowers. Its become a land of plenty again. As it used to be. A Land of milk and honey,

3. Note about the Temple

    A. It was rebuilt twice

        1. "Then Came David’s Dynasty and his sons until the destruction of the first temple 586 BC The High priests clothing was the color that represents the highest color known. The color of the sky during the daylight."

Ex 39:22 And he made the robe of the ephod of woven work, all of blue.

   B. The platform for the Temple is as big as the bases of the pyramids. One of its stones is the biggest hewn stone known.

4. Note about the Romans Kicking the Jews off the Land and destroying the second temple when they realized the rebelliousness of the People at the time.

A The Ethiopians never knew the temple was destroyed until the 19th century.

     B. About Massada: The Jews wanted to die as free men. They were not considering suicide as murder.

5. Note about the recent war In 1967 Syria and Egypt had been building up their armies and Israel opened up a pre-emptive attack on those countries and took to Golan heights. And Israel put its reserves on duty. It was a small country it only had a 150,000 soldiers on active duty it relied mostly on the reserves. Our driver and our guide for example are on reserves. “For such a small country this can not last long they destroyed 600 jets of the 1000 jest that the countries around it had, combined. It was the 6 day war and only on the 5th day Israel decided it would go to the Golan Heights. Which is where we are at now? The stones here are black basalt. A volcanic rock. All of the Golan heights are a volcanic plateau ands we are gonna see it is on the way to our destination. All of the Golan heights were taken almost without an effort especially overlooking the Jewish settlement there and over viewing Syria its 40 miles away from Damascus. Its been a little over 40 years. Of course Syria never accepted it.

He then showed a map that Israel at its greatest width in 2007 is about 100 miles from the sea of Galilee to the edge of the heights. Its about 1000 feet or more above the sea of Galilee. The people of Israel were almost drunk from success. And the enemies around attacked them on the Jewish Holiday of atonement. The Guide was a child back then, and remembered his shock when he saw enemy war jets streaming overhead. Everyone was either at home or at the synagogue They knew it would be hard to call in the reserves, the Syrians had taken most of the Golan Heights but after 2 weeks Israel took it back. The only Lady Prime Minister that Israel ever had made an insinuation that she would use nuclear weapons.

There is now a demilitarized zone. The war was devastating to Israel and Syria. There is an elastic type of rock around many of the volcanoes. Israel did not harm anyone who wanted to stay. An Israeli spy tricked the Syrians into giving away its bunkers and also gave many secrets away. He was discovered and hung. GDP of Israel 10 percent is used on the Israeli army. Israel has seen that the Arabs have said the Israelis will be pushed into the sea. Israel has no Oil but has a huge Olive and vegetables production areas and has One of the most excellent wineries’, and imports raw diamonds and exports more cut ones than any other nation.

In History the human resource is the most powerful and its what Israel relies on, any other natural Resource depended on by others has depleted and those countries have sunk into oblivion. The Demilitarized zone has only detection equipment permitted. Israel’s desalination plant works on 27 million cubic meters of salt water from the Ocean. Even More water is taken from the water table and are stored by the Druus Metal water containers the Druus in the Golan Heights are exempt from serving in the military but know that if Syria ever takes the Golan Heights back thy might be ruined. So they have a love hate relationship with Israel. They Love the money but are outspoken against Israel, though their families on the other side of the border are in bad economic states. I see small water towers everywhere; it seems like thousands of them. There are Druu priests who keep the religion and the majority does not practice the religion. Their loyalty to Syria is out of fear. They do not pay Israel land tax nor do they pay for the water.

6.Note about the new State of Israel

     A. General sizes The thinner portions of Israel to the beginning of the thicker portions are about 9 miles from shore. The thicker portion of the State is about 100 miles thick

    B. Temporary metal wall and third world city of Bethlehem:

        1. There is a metal wall being constructed dividing Bethlehem from Jerusalem in an effort to keep the PLO and other terrorists from getting into the Israelite areas of the city. The city is also being divided into 4 quarters.

       2. I noticed a Picture on the wall facing Bethlehem. It is a Mole eating the Dove of Peace.

    C. The Israelites have a plan for a new temple somewhere in the city. The Temple was never put up on its original foundation because Christ had Prophesied its destruction the Muslims put the dome of the Rock there because it’s the same place they believe Muhammad was carried into heaven. (several people said they saw this happen.) Also we learned Later that The Philistines were Greeks trying to take Jerusalem and Add it to the Grecian cities. Then Came David’s Dynasty and his sons until the destruction of the first temple 586 BC We visited the Bath House there. We also visited a Church that is likely to be standing over the crucifixion spot. I touched a rock under its foundation that was likely bare near the cross and likely had Jesus blood on it at one time before the wars. I will never say Thank you in the same Spirit in my heart the same way I used to. When The Guide brought the following verse to mind:

Ge 14:18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. Ge 14:19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: Ge 14:20 And blessed be the most high God, who has delivered your enemies into your hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

He said this was the first time Jerusalem was mentioned in the Bible and that Jerusalem meant “Peace Established.” The Language is backward because the Hebrew thinks out his sentences. You will see in a moment: Under the observation of Pastor Thomas, several Brothers got with him a little later and brought the following verses to the Guides attention, he was in awe. And took notes:

Heb 7:1 ¶ For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; Heb 7:2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; Heb 7:3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abides a priest continually. Heb 7:4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

——————————————————- What I Asked the guide was very simple: I had a two part Question. He could only answer the second part. My question started: is the tribe of Benjamin represented in Israel today? He did not know. My second Part: Could we as servants of Jesus be thereby become part of Israel, as they used to make people part of Israel in the ancient times.

His answer was: Have I asked my Pastors this question?

I said we have had Services and Bible studies on this, and we are the Gentiles graphed into the Olive tree of Israel. He said he would have to agree with this. I shared this with my Doctor. His words were “Really. Welcome to the tribe.” It turns out he himself is a Jew here in the USA. Pastor Ulysse reminded me of a verse about this:

Ro 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh: Ro 2:29 But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Ro 14:5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

This then is the follow-up question to him that I will ask the next time I talk to him or someone of Israeli authority: is it possible above Verses are accepted and even preferred by the majority of the Israelites as Kobi has already said the Majority of the Israelites are not "Practicing Jews?" (They do not rest on the Sabbath Day).
