Profit and Loss

I was thinking about God's economy. "So much, I can't contain it; so much, I've got to give it away."
If you read the newspapers about what's going on in our economy, it seems to be going down the tubes. The president of the Federal Reserve Bank was quoted as saying "The United States appears to be in a recession." Well, thank you for that information.
Jesus put worldly gain in perspective.
Matthew 16:24-26
- Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
- For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
- For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
A lot of the times you'll find things in the Bible to be just the reverse of our worldly perspective.
