Pastorship, part 1 of 3

I've been talking to a young man at work named Teddy during lunch break. Today we got to talking about pastorship. We learned that the word literally means "shepherd." A shepherd was a job that was kind-of at the bottom of the market. It was a dirty job, not one you would send your kids to college for. The term "pastor" wasn't often used in reference to Aaron and the Levitical priesthood. It's interesting that the word we use today traces back to such a humble occupation.
