Judgment (part 1 of 3)

Barlyn Uribe

(Handout: Judge Not Yourself or Others, No Judgment like God's Judgment!)

The purpose of our study is to raise our level of awareness of types of judgments, to be able to discern between:

  • God's judgments
  • The world's judgments
  • Our own judgments

Also, to bring to our attention the theme scripture, so we can examine what Paul describes, to not judge man or even ourselves, so that we can better understand God's judgment.

1 Corinthians 4:1-5
  1. Let a man so account of us, as of the ministers of Christ, and stewards of the mysteries of God.
  2. Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.
  3. But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.
  4. For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
  5. Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

We are going to examine what Paul means by not being a judge over men, nor over hi

After work today, our neighbor was sitting outside. Cedric and I walked up and started talking to him, and he really poured his heart out about his relationship with God. We shared scriptures and then had a prayer.

Church Talk

I'm excited about what Jesus is doing for me, and I'm excited about what I'm doing for Jesus. I'm excited about living a life that matters. I don't mean that in a self-centered way, but I'm thankful to have the privilege to preach the gospel message.
